Sheer curtains have always been part of British window dressing.

However, the increasing popularity of larger windows, bi-fold and sliding doors has significantly changed both the demand and design of sheers curtains. Furthermore the unique manufacturing process of sheers means that a curtain can be made almost 20 metres wide without a join. This eliminates pattern matching and joins to create an elegant but subtle window dressing. The sheer curtain will provide privacy without materially reducing the light and space objectives of the larger window and door.

Finesse is part of the Filigree Group, which was the largest manufacturer of sheers in the UK and now the sole survivor of that era.  We are experts in sheers and stock the largest range, from traditional white embroidered voile to many different qualities, designs and colours. 

All of our sheer curtains are made at our sites in Nottingham and Derby.  Sheers are notoriously difficult to work with which means that every single curtain is cut by hand and scissor by our skilled workforce who on average have more than 20 years’ experience.
