We are pleased to announce the launch of our new motorised roller blinds.
These high quality, quiet motors can be controlled by Bluetooth APP, RF Controller or voice activated through home hubs such as Alexa and Google Home.
Stop positions can be programmed together with open and close timers.
The motor can be supplied bare (i.e. motor alone) or as an upgrade to standard roller blind order.
The motor is Bluetooth enabled and connects to the Tuya app which is freely accessed on Apple and Android.
This app will control the rise and fall and programmed stop positions.
Each blind can be named and there is no limit on the number of blinds controlled by the APP.
The motor can also be controlled by a handheld Remote or wall mounted Switch.
The Remote can control up to 6 blinds.
The Switch is battery powered but gives the impression of a high-end home automation system. The Switch will control 2 blinds.
The blind can also be paired with a home hub. This hub will connect the blind to devices such as Alexa and Google Home meaning that it can be voice controlled.
There are additional features such as programming opening and closing of blinds.
Although practically silent, the motors have sufficient torque to be able to comfortably lift any of our fabrics up to 3 metre wide and 3 metres drop.
The blinds are charged via a USB-C supply, which is not included with the blind. We offer a 3m cable and plug, although a USB-C cable connected to a power supply can be used. A single charge takes approximately 3 hours and should last for 9 months assuming blinds are raised and lowered once per day.
Roller blinds are both simple and practical but not everyone loves seeing the brackets.
Finesse are happy to inform you that we have launched the addition of pattern matched cassettes on our MTM roller blinds.
When placing your order on a MTM roller blind, you now have the option to choose a pattern-matched cassette which gives a more premium finish!
Our cassette fully encloses the top of the roller blind and hides the brackets from view. The cassette is particularly good when ordering a pattern/design as we will match from the top of the roller blind for a more seamless look and finish.
The cassette itself is currently available in white only, but we are looking to add more colour options to this at a later date.
Our cassettes can be fitted either inside or outside the recess as with a standard roller blind.
Meet the new head of MTM sales
Filigree is delighted to announce the appointment of Domenic Berardi as its new Finesse Head of Made to Measure Sales.
Dom brings over 20 years of senior role experience in the made to measure curtains and blinds industry.
He will have a key role within customer relationships as well as future product development. Dom is starting to contact and visit all our MTM customers to review ranges and to discuss our new products.

British Blinds and Shutters Association Exhibition 2024
The BBSA hosts the leading exhibition for suppliers of Made to Measure Blinds and Shutters. It is only held every two to three years, therefore, between exhibitions, the anticipation grows of meeting new contacts and connecting with long standing friends and customers, plus the opportunity to show and see new developments.
BBSA 24 certainly didn’t disappoint. Months of hard work preparing our stand culminated in three exceptionally busy days. It was fantastic to meet so many of our customers as well as many new contacts. We look forward to following up our discussions in the coming weeks.
We launched several new products at the exhibitions which were very well received.
We have several new recycled designs in MTM Voiles. They are between 50% and 100% recycled with full Global Recycling Standard accreditation. They come in a variety of qualities and are presented on new style hangers to distinguish them as recycled.
We have a new cassette system for our roller blinds. It can be left as a white front, but we think it looks better with a fabric front.
This cassette was presented at the exhibition with our new roller blind motors. These motors can be operated on an App via Bluetooth, with a remote controller, or voice controlled through applications such as Alexa and Google Home. The motor can be connected to all of our roller blind options.
We also have new fixing for rollers: Dual Rollers (front and back) which are great for combining daylight and blackout fabrics, plus Connected Rollers which can be used to join rollers with the minimum gap. These can be fixed (so they roll up and down together) or independent (so the blind can be rolled up and down).

Although it wasn’t brand new for the exhibition, we presented a Wave style headed Voile curtain which created a lot of enquiries. We have seen huge growth in this heading as it can be used in traditional and modern settings. If you haven’t offered Wave before or are unsure about it please contact us and we can guide you.
Our Roller Blind Book featured new designs and particularly new qualities in FR. We have comprehensive FR offers across Fabrics, Voiles and Rollers. We can also offer all of these products by the metre in addition, to be made up.
We also had a lot of enquiries from customers asking if we can make up their fabrics. The answer is yes, we can do this, but we would want to see the fabric first and large volume orders need to planned as we work on a tight 7 to 10 day delivery lead time.
